The REAL Reason to go to Salt Lake.....
were so beautiful. We toured the Conference Center, Temple Square, Joseph Smith Building and we were just a few hundred feet below where our beloved prophet was. I walked up to the guard and asked to see President Hinkley. When he asked if I had an appointment, I knew he thought I was crazy. Maybe I will get to meet him some day. We loved the feeling and Spirit that was there on that sacred ground. I am so thankful for all the Saints and others who have sacrificed and continue to do so for our behalf. I feel so blessed to live at this time and look forward to the great things to come as we prepare for the Saviors return.
1st ROW BABY!!!!!
While we were there in Salt Lake City, I decided I was going to take Tony to a Jazz game. I think he was impressed with the seats. 1st row VIP baby!!! You could litterally touch the players. The seats went like this.....players on court in front row, row behind them is coaches, body guards, injured players etc....THEN US!!!! YES....I could SMELL the sweat! We got there an hour and a half early and watched them mess around. Then we went to a nice room next to where the locker room was and had dinner (it better have been included for the price..HAHA!) I'm such a dork! I think I was the only one in there that took a picture of my food. It was soooo good! Then we watched the game. It was so cool to be able to HEAR everything and see all the stuff that goes on during time outs and all the things you can't hear or see from anywhere else. I am not sure how much the Sonic's coach liked when my flash would go off in his face??? I did get permission to take pics though. The Jazz won and the energy in that arena was AWESOME! It was an experience I know Tony and I will never forget.
OUR AMAZING TRIP!!!
For Tony's Birthday I decided to take us on a vacation that was original and unforgetable! I saw this hotel on the Travel Channel and was so excited to go! Each room has a different theme and you can move every night! The first night was the Jungle Safari room. I wish I could put ALL the pictures on here so you can see all the cool stuff. This room had a falling rock waterfall and the most comfortable bed!!
The second night we stayed in Tombs of Egypt. That was a fun room with a lot of statues and brilliant colors. The whole room felt underground in a pyramid somewhere....it was so cool!
The third night was the Romeo and Juliet suite. Romeo and Juliet is one of my favorite love stories. Love is the most valuable possession we have and does anyone know of a better purpose to die for??? When we go back, we will probably stay in this room the whole time. It was elegant and romantic and had a HUGE TV with surround sound upstairs while you lay in a HUGE kingsize bed and so much more!! Every room had a tv, dvd player (unlimited free rentals), a nice jacuzzi tub for 2, sparkling cider on ice, 2 gourmet slices of cheezecake, and a FABULOUS breakfast delivered to your room along with hot cocoa and juice every morning at whatever time you specify. It was amazing!!!
IS WHITE EVEN A COLOR?
White is one of my favorite colors and there is no greater feeling then being completely dressed in white certain times in your life. I think our spirits have a remembrance of being "clothed in white" and how humble that we feel. Last Saturday was a joyous day for Tony and I. Justin was baptized and our sweet Aspen was blessed all in one day! It was such a great experience and truly a sacred moment. I wish everyone could have been there. Almost all of Tony's family was there which made it even more a blessing. Entering the waters of baptism is such a responsibility and priviledge at the same time. I am now gaining a greater understanding of what taking upon myself the name of Christ means to me in my life and the peaceful feelings that come when I allow Him to carry my burdens and to turn to Him for forgiveness of my shortcomings. I hope I can teach my children how to build a personal relationship with the Savior as mine continues to grow. I would be lost and very sad without that in this Life. Thank you, Grandpa for your love and support that precious day. We love you!

MMMMMM....COOKIES!!
We thought it would be so cute yet so insane to have the girls invite 1 friend over and make sugar cookies from SCRATCH! That's right...I actually WANTED to try and bake! Then, after they cookie cuttered the dough, cooked it, let it cool down, we colored the frosting and let them decorate however they wanted. I swear they did a better job then I did.....don't they look so professional? The best part is the gleam in their eyes! They are so proud. There was only 17 fights over cookie cutters, frosting, m&m's, and who gets to take the first bite. Again, another successful child encounter. HA!!!
AND......We're back!! HA!!!
